My name is Zane Bryan. I was born in Roseburg, OR but have lived up and down the I-5 corridor as far North as Bellingham, WA before settling here, in Beaverton, OR. I went to Cornish College of the Arts in the late 80's, where I learned that going to art school is expensive and overrated. I later became an art teacher in Washington and Oregon for eleven years. I love creating art using all kinds of materials. Drawing, printing, painting, photography, sculpting and jewelry are just a slice. I tend towards illustrative work and have what some call a macabre sense of humor. I create science fiction, fantasy and steampunk work primarily, but occasionally feel the need to make something on the lighter side. Currently, I am working on a series of images for an alphabet book...of children and their inappropriate pets.
