My journey to painting began as a child loving colour, busy lives put painting on hold later on. Then in 1993 my life changed and it felt forever, I became ill with ME/CFS which knocked me off my feet. Years followed of being bedbound or housebound unable to physically do very much or use my brain in the way I was used to.
Gradually I started tentatively painting in my head and asked my daughter to put colours on the paper to experiment. Later came the ability to complete a couple of correspondence courses which encouraged me to put paint to paper and build my confidence.
The motto from this life changing experience is never give up!
Now I have been painting Watercolours for about 15 years and Oil painting 5 years.
I have taken part in the local Art Trail last month and the North Somerset Arts Trail a few years ago to promote my artwork. Now I want to show my paintings to a wider audience and appreciate feedback sent to my email address, I will also accept commissions if suitable.
