Chuck is a self-taught painter from the age of six and in 1965, he was accepted into the Art Institute of Chicago. He studied fine arts and architectural interior design and excelled in both career fields.

After serving in the military, Chuck practiced commercial interior design in the Chicago area. He worked as an interior designer and space planner in office design and later worked for better than 30 years as a restaurant/hotel designer in California.

Chuck now resides in New Bern, NC since July, 2018 formally from Crossville, TN and has participated in various art shows throughout the region His works have also been displayed at the Arts and Cultural Alliance in Knoxville, TN.

Chuck has also donated various original pieces to local medical facilities. The canvas, “Thanks Vince,” was purchased as part of a permanent collection and is now hanging in the Children’s Cancer Center of the Cookeville, TN Regional Hospital celebrating “Art for Healing”.

In April 2013, Chuck was commissioned to paint a portrait of California Congresswoman Jackie Speier and is now hanging in her office on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

His portrait of Pat Summitt, the former women’s basketball coach, was purchased to be displayed at the Pat Summitt Foundation in Knoxville, TN.

He was involved in the Cumberland Artisans of Tennessee Studio and Gallery (CATS) and provided the logo and cartoon illustrations for their new gallery. He was also involved in producing the illustrations for a Children’s book due for publication later on this year.

His pieces vary in size, and some are multiple canvases (triptyque). Giclee’s (digital prints on canvas) are also available in varying sizes upon request. He is also accepting commissions for portraits and abstract paintings.
