My name is Chuck Lembo. I'm an architect, but I have always been interested in photography. My grandfather was heavily into photography, and when I was 13 years old he gave me my first and only camera lesson, using his fully manual 35mm Canon AE-1. I have no other formal training.
In college I became interested in black and white photography, having to take pictures of countless architectural models for portfolios and presentations. From there, I began to explore black and white infrared film photography.
After purchasing a new camera for use on a trip to Europe, I decided to re-purpose my 15 year old Nikon D70 DSLR and had it permanently modified to take color infrared photos. This has become my passion, and while I love all types, I now concentrate almost exclusively on color infrared photography.
I received my Bachelors Degree in Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology in 1991 and became a Registered Architect in the State of New York in 1994. I have been a partner in my own architectural firm since that year.
My artwork has been selected by several local and national juries for rotating exhibits, and my work can be seen at many local galleries on Long Island, NY. My photography has been featured in the following exhibits:
A First Time for Everything - The Long Island Photo Gallery, Islip, NY
In Motion - The Catbird Seat Gallery, Sayville, NY

Deck the Halls - Gallery North, East Setauket, NY
