CHRISTOPHER J. ROE — PAINTER/POET — BIOGRAPHY
He has been painting for over forty years and writing seriously for five years.
After a forty-four year career in advertising as an award winning art director and graphic designer, he retired and moved to Warren, RI to pursue his art and writing full time.
He has written forty-seven volumes of poetry as well as his memoir, Dead Rainbows, a novel, Death of a Poet and Chris Roe_The Lost Cartoons a collection of early cartoons.
His poems have appeared in; PoetryMagazine.com, Vox Poetica, The Monarch Review, The Forge Journal, Apollo's Lyre, Black Heart Magazine and Your Daily Poem among others. As a painter he belongs to: The Society of Figurative Arts Open Forum, Portrait Painters, "En Plein Air" Paintings and Painters, Realistic figurative paintings, Plein Air Painters Group, American Impressionist Society, Inc., Artists Rhode Island
He was a recent Pushcart Prize nominee. His name has been nominated by the George Hail libraty to be the next Rhode Island Poet Laureate. His paintings are in private collections in the U.S., Canada, Australia and Europe.
He lives in both Warren, Rhode Island and the moment.
