As with most artists/artisans the desire to create is a constant thought. It is the beast within that nags and nags until you give in, but it is never satisfied and is always hungry for more.
I have been very fortunate in my life to work as an artist. For the past 15 years I have been a watercolorist, painting humorous images that I sell at art fairs up and down the west coast and online. I have also been a silversmith, dressmaker and could be labeled a creator of messes. Someone once told me "You are not creative unless every flat surface is covered with stuff." So, I guess am creative because I rarely see the surface my dining room table. Projects linger everywhere, whether it is painting, jewelry making, up-cycling (only found items within my space), paper mache, wire bugs, gourds...my desire to transform is endless.
Recently I discovered what has become my current obsession; acrylic paint pouring. After hours of watching videos & gallons of wasted paint I have finally begun to see the results I've been seeking, controlling the uncontrollable & I am loving it. The process is literally pouring paint onto a surface, watching colors blend as the flowing patterns form. It is mesmerizing & I am truly grateful for the magic I experience every time I pour.
