Burcu Yildiz Karakulak, is an illustrator and menswear designer, was born in Izmir, Turkey. She began by learning the techniques of traditional realist painting, worked with lots of painters until 2005. Then she got her B.A. from The University of Economics, Faculty of Fine Arts, Fashion and Textile Design department.

Burcu have participated various trade, exhibitions and Fashion Shows in collaborations with different organization. (IACDE International Association of Clothing Designers and Executives, etc.) and attended many Fashion Shows and attended lots of designer's workshops during University. (Bora Aksu, Jörn Fröhlich, Srinivassori Pattur, Otto Von Bush, Arzu Kaprol, Simay Bülbül, etc.)

After she graduated, she started to work as a costume designer, and art director.(2010) She prepared collections for various fashion brands. She also designed high-end wear for brand ambassadors and collaborated with International Brands.

Burcu also plays a role in menswear, she is managing partner and creative designer in The Black Ears.
