The Madonna and Child: In the Hindu tradition the moon is seen as a house where our loved ones go when they die. As the moon becomes big and bright, the spirits gather in greater numbers...until they return. As the moon wains, the ones you love return to greet you in a new born face. The child in this painting is laying next to his mother telling her the story of where he just came from. He returned, he says, because her love pulled him back. All good art delivers powerful messages. This one is my favorite. Even in death you cannot loose those you love.
