Necklace fantastic beasts
The Merovingian Jewel.
Wonderful animals inhabit ancient handwritten books from the time of the Merovingians. It was these images that inspired me to create a necklace: a toothy fish with legs, a bird with a trunk like a butterfly, a lion with the ears of a hare and a hare with cabbage on its head.
All the animals are the result of working with molten silver - these are drawings that were born in flames.
In the center of the composition is natural andesine with the effect of opalescence in red.
At the edges I used inlays - beads made of ancient Alan dark blue glass from the time of the Khazar Khaganate.
The pendant can be hung on a string of pearls or a chain.
The size of the pendant is 4,5 cm x 4,5 cm
