Bunny Shah - Contemporary Art

An artist who took her first steps in a small northern city of Pakistan and her journey thorough life till now has tempered her work. Her childhood, initial triumphs & struggles, academic pursuits, testing youth, blue skies, cracked earth, deceptive suns, fleeting moons, far away shores of Asia Pacific, barren deserts of the Middle East – all form markers on her life map and seep into her paintings, photography, sculptures, and illustrations.

Educated in Fine Arts, Art History, Fashion Design as well as Business Administration, Bunny has worked with some of the top global brands in advertising and media including Ogilvy & Mather, Grey Worldwide and Google. Driven by life itself her art is often psychologically charged, expressing both the beauty and fragility of being human. Using bold colors, fluid strokes and sensory movements – her paintings have an unmistakable style and visual integrity.

Her work got recognized by United Nations through its Global Citizen Ambassadors Contest (2009) and by Government of Pakistan which commissioned a record setting one piece 500 feet long painting (made by a group of 10 artists) depicting the history of the Indus valley civilization from the bronze age (3300 BC) till 1990’s.

While she has always considered herself a world citizen currently Dubai is home where she is working with private and corporate clients, art dealers and interior designers.

"It is my hope that my art connects with you and transmits the joy and pain of its creation.”
