Artist, Brook Ludy, a 17 year old senior at Cave Spring High School, created many pieces of art, entering and winning Reflections and Scholastic art contests and placing Best in Show in her high school art show over her school years so far. But she started making Roanoke artwork for a 9th grade English school project. She always enjoyed walking around downtown Roanoke and has enjoyed putting it into her artwork. She has completed 3 Roanoke pieces, a Salem, VA piece and is currently working on a Grandin Village piece. Drawing has been her favorite passion since she was 4 years old. Currently she is in the visual art program at The Burton Center for Arts and Technology and also takes art classes at Cave Spring. Her hopes are to pursue a career in art at VCU School of Arts in Richmaond, VA. Brook wishes to thank her family, friends, teachers and local community for all their positive support and encouragement!
