I consider myself an abstract impressionist in my spare time. I love to create images using an array of colors as well as blotches of oil paint.
I admire alot of the great abstract impressionists such as van gogh, nicola simbari, picasso, matisse, leonid apremov. But I also had enjoyed scenery paintings from artists such as Bob Ross and Rick Boren as well.
I consider myself an abstract impressionist. But id prefer a messy imperfection masterpiece over a perfection masterpiece any day! Images don't have to look perfectly painted by detail or shape on canvas I've learned. You simply need to able to visualize and let your mind fill in the blanks imagining what is there!
I say to someone I see this and I see that!
They say wow you see all that stuff and I say "yes"i really do.Then they say man I never knew or thought about it that way and I say yeah that's what I see!
Painting is so therapeutic that it has changed the way I feel about myself and changed the way I see every day life.
It literally has been changing my life around daily the more and more I paint!
True abstract art is when the artists is able to make you stare and visualize long enough over and over again at a particular painting captivating your mind! If he or she can do that it's abstract art!
