Bonifacio Luna was born in Harlingen, Texas. His relationship with art began as a young man. He would draw cartoon characters, Marvel characters, cars, monster trucks, etc. He joined the U.S. Army in 2008 and continues to serve till this day. He has been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan for a total of four combat tours. Bonifacio has been diagnosed with PTSD, General Anxiety, Depression, and OCD. One day he picked up a paint brush and started expressing his thoughts and emotions on the canvas. It didn't take long before his artistic talent would regain momentum. He aspires to paint like the Old Impressionist Masters in the mid-to-late 1800's. People like Cezanne, Degas, Monet, Manet, Pissarro, and Renoir to name a few. But he dreaded this one thought, " How will I ever be able to achieve such talents without any painting classes"? For him, painting is a must until his dying day. It soothes his mind, and it helps him release the anxiety and fears that haunt him on a daily basis. One of his favorite quotes is, "Why rush a painting, when all you'll want to do is paint again".
