John Kiernan - Leading artist in the Law Enforcement community. John started selling his work at Police week in Washington DC in 2006. His work is the most sought after and raises the most money at any police related event. In 1987 John joined the Southampton Village Police Department located in New York and later joined the Fairfax County Police Department in Fairfax VA. John continued his art by creating national logos, murals and paintings which helped raised money for the Law Enforcement family, to include fallen officers and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
He accepted a position at a decorative arts company in Mclean, VA, that specialized in trompe l’oeil and mural painting. In 2002 he decided to branch out on his own and he created Blue Line Studios. In 2004, he won “Best Ceiling” ” and “Best Mural” in the Faux Academy which was held in Las Vegas. Graham Rust, a well-known and highly respected artist from London selected John’s art work as the winner of these two categories.
In 2005, John was invited to join the elite group of international decorative painters at their annual gathering called “Salon”. Salon is a gathering, which is attended by over one hundred renowned Decorative Artists and Muralists, representing fifteen countries.
