Holi (pronunciation: /ˈhoʊliː/; Sanskrit: होली Holī) is a spring festival, also known as the festival of colours or the festival of sharing love.

Holi celebrations start on the night before Holi with a Holika bonfire where people gather, sing, dance and party. The next morning is a free-for-all carnival of colours, where participants play, chase and colour each other with dry powder and coloured water, with some carrying water guns and coloured water-filled balloons for their water fight. Anyone and everyone is fair game, friend or stranger, rich or poor, man or woman, children and elders. The frolic and fight with colours occurs in the open streets, open parks, outside temples and buildings.

A blessed soul enjoying life painting and golfing. Most of my paintings are concepts that pass through the peaceful mind when creativity is at it's best !

Painting is my passion and favorite pastime. Having traveled extensively in India and parts of Europe and North America, I try to preserve my memories in the form of paintings. Water is my favorite medium because I love the challenge it poses, unexpected results and the luminosity of the colors !!! What a satisfaction when I do a small but sweet work of art in couple of hours !

Self taught, I believe art is a wonderful medium of self expression. I paint a wide range of objects from still life to landscapes to objects out of fantasy and imagination. My paintings are realistic as well as impressionistic. I am inspired by the idea of adding something different to every painting.

Had a successful HR career in software industry in India, but with the economic depression in 2008 and having seen so many firings in companies and managing a stressful career I finally called it a day to my HR career. In 2010 I finally decided to follow my passion which is fine art and devoted my full time to making art.
