Beverly embarked on an unorthodox path for her art career. She switched away from a major in fine art for fear of not knowing how she’d make a living, and then found ways to work as a professional artist for most of her life. Right out of college, she took a job painting scenery and props for parties and events. She then landed an internship at a computer game company, taught herself digital art, and became one of the first 3D graphic artists and animators in the game industry. She went on to art direct and manage multiple projects for the next 18 years. While recovering from an arm injury, she took a break from art and earned her Master’s degree in Geography and the Environment. When she came back to art, she returned to traditional media working as a freelance muralist and illustrator. She also provided art and animation for several interactive digital installations placed in museums around the country and abroad.

Beverly has found a way to combine her love of travel, nature, and art by living aboard a converted school bus with her partner and creating fine art on the road. Using a variety of media, including acrylics and oils, she has created whimsical cat portraits, photorealistic classic cars, and wildlife art.
