My attraction from childhood through drawing has gradually given me the desire to explore all these wonderful mixtures of colors. My first steps towards abstract painting were guided by the spirit of drawing and the taste of movement. For the last eight years, painting has become for me a real passion, a need. My sensitivity for painting allows me to give free rein to my imagination by releasing an energy to transmit my emotions. Passionate, I am fascinated by this media with multiple possibilities. The pleasure of being in front of a white canvas, of improvising a pattern by harmonizing the colors, are pleasant moments in front of my easel.
I draw all my wealth in the abstract, the limit of lyrical and calligraphic abstraction. My research, always permanent colors nuanced to the extreme, brings to my paintings a subtle transparency capturing the light. I only work with acrylic paints that are not harmful to the environment and undiluted. I paint all my paintings by a show of hands, without sketching beforehand, instinctively. I do not make any reproduction. It is by spontaneous gestures that I express my emotions of the moment on the canvas. I have always been very sensitive to colors and the mixes in their choice are important, I like working on the bright shades that carve the canvas, then move on to darker tones to give perspective and depth. My technique, the knife and the brush. Its particularity consists in a mixture and a superposition of colors in order to obtain the desired effect. The knife will be used to create pattern thickness or accentuate contours by sculpting relief to bring out the light and liveliness of the colors. The advantage of abstract painting is that one can all allow himself, without restraint, a total freedom in his emotions and his gestures.

Exhibiting is important for an artist. The pleasure of being able to share one's passion, to have an exchange with other people on the appreciation of one's paintings is gratifying. During my various vernissages, personal and collective exhibitions of contemporary paintings I liked sharing these very constructive exchanges on my abstract paintings. www.mapeinturesurtoile.com
