Angelina Salgado is a visual artist and works primarily in watercolor, gouache, and acrylic. The bright colors and vivid hues in her paintings emanate emotion and energy. Angelina is also the mother to twin girls, one on Earth and one in Heaven. She paints the Northern Lights in memory of her daughter, Aurora Annette, who passed away just 3 days after turning 2 months old. She has always been fascinated and inspired by the Northern Lights, with its bright colors that dance across the night sky, and among all the stars. Her baby girl Aurora is named for the Aurora Borealis, so it is the perfect tribute to Aurora’s short, but beautiful life. Angelina started the Auroras for Aurora art project in loving memory of her baby girl, forever 65 days old. These Aurora paintings are created for parents who have experienced baby loss. Each artwork is dedicated and named for their angel.
