I am a female artist living, working, creating, and playing on the Oregon coast. Self-taught, I work in assemblages, mixed media, paintings: watercolor and acrylics, wire-wrapped sea glass jewelry, driftwood art, miniature clay sculptures, photography, and anything else I can imagine. My focus is on nature, feminine energy, feminism, and spirituality that takes many forms. Pantheism best describes my beliefs. Although I find other belief systems to be interesting.
My style is raw, primitive, childlike, irreverent, iconoclastic, erotic, and political at times. It depends on my mood. I make whimsical, quirky art to cheer myself.
I embrace the role of a perpetual outsider. Creating original art with NO RULES feeds my soul. I can focus intensely, which is a challenge for me with ADHD.
I live on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The ocean view is quite distracting (not complaining) and I spend a lot of time watching the birds, whales, and fishing boats outside my windows.
Making art makes me feel awake, aware, and alive.
