Art Parables

Art Parables

Current City: Salem, Oregon
Favorite Art Median: Oils & Acrylic

I have always enjoyed expressing myself with art in all of its wondrous colors. I grew up in beautiful Oregon where the colors never seem to end and the majesty of God's creation never ceases to amaze me. I started out drawing with pencil when I was very young and enjoyed sharing my work with family and friends growing up. I then moved into colored pencil, water color, oil pastels and oil paints. It's the color and texture of oils that grip me. Bright colors have a way of capturing the soul and taking you to another place.

So what are "Art Parables?"

The word "Parable" by definition simply means a statement or comment that conveys a meaning indirectly by the use of comparison, analogy, or the like. Quite a bit of my work has come from a deep place of transformation in my own life and the seasons I have gone through.

My pieces reflect Creation through landscape, animals and people. They also reveal the journey process someone goes through in becoming something priceless to reveal the beauty of who they are in a real and authentic way. In essence my pieces are "living" messages on canvas due to the story they tell and the relatability they carry for many who behold them.

Please feel free to email me with any questions you may have regarding any art piece you see.

In living color,
