Vasiliki is a Conceptual Artist who based her work on the thoughts surrounding the value of artists. Her work is still new and developing but here she sells her signature. She does not sign her work as traditional is done, for she wants to see if her signature will be worth anything in the future. Based loosely around a reading she did that Salvador Dali signed 40 000 blank pieces of paper that were suppose to go to print, she will as well sign 40 000 business card stock. In a Conceptual form of recreating Dali’s, who as a young artist she was very influenced by, unprinted pieces. The idea is that as a new and upcoming artist she has no worth, in the ways that her work goes. And the value she has is that of what she holds to herself. Conceptually she believes in spreading her work in various places and giving it away for free. But here her signature is worth $10.00 and if they she start to come in demand the 40 000 signatures will find their place in the hand of her loyal viewers. Her name is Vasiliki but friends call her Stikki, which is the name she uses to sign with.
