Anto George is a visual artist based in Kerala, India. He completed National Diploma in painting from College of Fine arts Thrissur, Kerala. He participated in several group exhibitions and camps in and out of Kerala and also did installations and public site specific works. When he started his art education, visual art in Kerala had been acquainting a new phase beyond literary sensibility. There it was emerged a radical thoughts about visual art which anticipates social change and artists were seeking new ideas to resist contrary visual sense. As an art student Anto’s works have been influenced by that movement and he practiced figurative art in line with the styles of these newly emerged radical collective of artists. After the dispersal of that group, an inactivation had affected in Kerala art scene. Even if it be so, he himself practiced a narrative style in order to seek new language in his art. During this time he associated with theatre personalities and groups in Kerala and designed theatre props and sets. Likewise he also designed teaching aids and learning manipulative for mathematic education in schools. According to art practice he himself follows a way of thinking which related with other art forms, maths and science and education field.
