About the artist
Anastasia Vasilyeva is a Swiss-Russian entirely self-taught and independent emerging artist whose artworks are held in private collections in the USA, Europe, and Russia.
She was born in 1982 in St.Petersburg (Russia) in an artists-family (4th generation).

Inspired by Mark Rothko, Jackson Pollack, Kandinsky, and Gerhard Richter, Anastasia Vasilyeva makes a conceptual contribution to Contemporary Art.
She combines abstract expressionism with motifs and themes of Science.
This connects the emotional level, which belongs to Expressionism, with the intellectual and logical structures. All of the artist's works have several levels of meaning. They are not only visually attractive but also provide an impulse to philosophize.
Artist’s statement:
"My main goal is to make a conceptual contribution to Contemporary Art using ideas and experiences from different fields and subjects."
