No 5 in a series of Ammonite paintings i did while living out in the central Australian desert....
There used to be a vast sea out here....and the dry sand i slittered with stone fossils of ancient sea creatures....and ammonites fascinate me....
Spirals, magic, ancient, powerful creation things....
ive painted them, sculpted them....and started to play with luminant colour in ink and watercolour....the fluidity and movement of the sea that originally created them showing their flowing energy......
And the strange mathematical magic of their structure and growth...
Ma Nature is just ever amazing......
