Adrienne Martin Dark Art Agewww.ArtPal.com/amartin2407
My name is Adrienne Martin. I was born and raised in Lancaster, Pennsylvania~Amish Country. I have ancestors who were Amish and I'm very proud and happy to have them in my lineage. They are practical and peaceful people. I lived outside of Philadelphia for several years. It was a culture shock for me, but a good cultural shock. I became more open-minded and this is where I started to experiment with art. I got into drawing on canvas and painting with acrylic paint. Later, I moved to Texas and got into art even more while going to Grayson College. My art teacher educated me on mixed media, which I tried out and did well at. After college, I decided to work in a prison and found a lot of down time as a correctional officer and so I took my pens and drew art on count sheets and IOC papers. All of my art pieces were drawn in ink and so it is permanent with no erasing. I enjoyed this as a pass time in such a dark and negative environment. Even the offenders looked forward to what I would draw each day. Art is a centerfold in the prison life and it is a healthy pass time. I hope you enjoy my dark surrealism art as much as I do. It is abstract, yet has a touch of realism in it.
