I am originally from San Jose, California but am now settled in Edinburgh, Scotland. For many years I divided my time between art and psychotherapy practice before moving to art full time in 2013.
My work is chiefly landscapes and still life with different degrees of abstraction or design. My work doesn't necessarily record what an subject looks like but weaves together the memories, impressions and assoication it prompts in me. As well as colourful prints and posters, I produce representational drawings in pencil which focus on mood and atmosphere.
I was pleased to have one series of these drawings shown as a solo exhibition at the Museum of Edinburgh in 2016. Apart from that I exhibit regularly in the Lothian and Borders area of Scotland and have a studio at St Margaret's House.
