I am Falaise Péralte, I was born November 20 1965, I grew up in Noailles, an artistic village of Croix-des-Bouquets.
At twelve, I escaped drowning, this fact remains and remains for me a supernatural event.
Agwe (God of the sea in Haitian mythology) took me, he was going to train me in the river Manmanmyèl, I was saved by a voodoo priest and
since that day, I have never been normal again. I learned to draw in dream. At the age of fourteen, I began my career in carving metal cut in the workshop of Gabriel Bienaimé, who is considered one of the pioneers in the cut metal industry.
For six consecutive years, I worked under the direction of Gabriel Bienaimé. It was around the age of twenty-one that I decided to devote myself to personal creation.
Driven by the urgency of distinguishing my works from the works of thousands of pieces produced sometimes in series, in this small village of Noailles, housing no less than thirty workshops of sculpture, I developed a unique style of drawing.
My art revolves around symbols of voodoo mythology, animals, plants and other natural elements.
