My name is Tammy Melton, I was born and raised in middle Tennessee. I spent my youth wondering through the hills with my grandparents who taught me the ways of Appalachia. I learned from them how to hunt, fish, track, and trap, and how to make medicines from the woods. They shared their love of nature with me, and it stuck in a big way. At the age of 50, I would still rather be in the woods than any other place I know. Mother nature holds a special place in my heart, and it brings me so much joy. It is my goal as an artist to share that love with others and to help humanity renew its connection to the natural world.
