Elements: 1. Shield: contains the badges of the Australian states, surrounded by an ermine border (which reminds me - I still have to paint the border white!!) 2. Seven-pointed Commonwealth Star above a gold and blue wreath, forming the crest of the coat of arms. 3. Kangaroo and Emu, the unofficial animal emblems of Australia. 4. Wreath of Golden Wattle, the official national floral emblem. 5. Name of the Nation, Australia, done to blend in with the grasses at the bottom. 6. My additions: - paperbark & Gum Leaves/Nuts - bottle-brush - 2 musical lines to Advance Australia Fair - 2 cute emu chicks - The state flowers: Royal Bluebell (ACT), Waratah (NSW), Sturt's Desert Rose (NT), Cooktown Orchid (Qld), Sturt's Desert Pea (SA), Tasmanian Blue Gum (Tas), Pink Heath (Vic) & red/green Kangaroo Paw (WA).
