It started as a gloomy day on the dark beach, and the sun started coming through, just slightly brightening the backside of the clouds. The ocean was calm and the pier was all alone in that huge ocean. But it stayed strong, it stood tall, and it protected the shore. It was at the start of forever nothing, just waiting for the inevitable. The beautiful blue ocean would swallow it whole, but today was not that day.
