As an only child, adopted by two wealthy entrepreneurs too busy to notice her, she quickly realized the love of writing, art, music, animals, and photography.

Famous abstract artist Jackson Pollock is one of her ancestors as is Alfred Barr, one of the founders of the Modern Museum of Art (MMoA). Additionally, her biological mother is a wildlife artist whose art is currently on display in an Arizona gallery.
