Thank you for visiting my online art gallery! I love to share with others my passion for being creative and hope that you enjoy viewing my artwork. I have been painting for over 35 years and come from a family of artists and writers. My mother encouraged me to do art since I was a child. When I was in college, I pursued studies in fine art at Cottey College and the University of Southern Indiana. I also took some art classes at The Atelier in Minneapolis.

I see art as a way of connecting with nature and also my higher self. I hope to uplift those who view my paintings into a place where they feel more connected to nature and also may feel a sense of peace and joy through this connection. If we stop to listen to water rushing in a creek, take the time to view the glow of a sunset or a flower up close we can begin to feel oneness with all of life.

I paint landscapes, animals, sunsets, metaphysical paintings, and abstracts. I work primarily in oils, but also explore using watercolors, acrylics, and alcohol inks as well. I have really diversified what I paint because I have so many interests and it helps to stretch my artistic abilities.

Currently I teach painting at Isothermal Community College in Columbus, NC, as well as small group lessons out of my studio. My paintings are represented by galleries in North Carolina and New Mexico. You can visit my website at:
