Shannon's Vibrant Artwww.ArtPal.com/Vibrant_Art
After many years working in Internet Technology, I decided it was time to spend my time doing something physically creative like painting and performance arts. City College of San Francisco(CCSF), Berkeley Extension, the Institute of Mosaic Art, and SFCC Extension are some of the institutions I've attended. Drawing, realism in painting, color theory, mosaics, and encaustics are just a few classes I studied. My formal Art education started at my new retirement home in Grass Valley, California at Sierra College. Three years later and I've nearly finished an Associate's degree in Studio Art. Sierra College has an amazing Art program for anyone who is interested!
I've won awards at Sierra College and have been featured in juried student shows at Ridley Gallery in Rocklin, CA. Ridley Gallery, online, and at cafes are places I've sold my works. Commissioned art is fun and rewarding and I've done a few of these too. During my time at Sierra College, I worked as an Art Tech for the Art Department for two years so I know my way around all sorts of art supplies, kilns, mixing glazes, and maintaining 2D and 3D creative spaces.

My favorite place to perform performance art is in Pole competitions. Yes, you read that correctly, Pole Dance competitions! I love physical story telling so I create lots of props because these help move the story along. If you would like to follow my exploits in Pole and Aerial you can follow me on Facebook at Vertical Fit Pole and Aerial and/or on Instagram @shannun_aerialfit.
