Aaron Kittredge is a 30-something year old husband, musician, and artist who was born and raised in the Detroit area. He worked as the School Social Worker for a local school district during the days and in the evenings created art, photography, and music. He recently moved to the Phoenix Metro area where he created and maintains PBISWorld.com and The PBIS World Book, a behavior website and book to help manage child and adolescent behaviors primarily in the school setting. During the evenings, he continues to labour on his first love and pour his heart into his art, design, photography, and music.
Aaron began studying classical violin at age 4 under the Suzuki Method. In late high school, he studied with the Concertmaster of the Detroit Opera House. Throughout the years, Aaron has played in various ensembles, duets, trios, recitals, and other genres and events. He played in the Metropolitan Youth Symphony for 7 years starting in 6th grade and was accepted to and played with the All-State Orchestra at the Interlochen School for the Fine and Performing Arts. He has received numerous scholarships and awards for his violin playing and has recorded on several albums. In addition to playing the violin, Aaron is a self taught guitarist, trumpeter, music composer, and dabbles in sound recording. He began playing the trumpet in middle school and still gigs on occasion. He started teaching himself the guitar in high school and studied the instrument in college. He is now an accomplished guitarist focusing on Spanish and classical style guitar. Aaron has composed many works for strings, guitar, and trumpet. Before leaving Detroit, he was a long time member (16 years) of Euphony Strings, in which he played violin and guitar. He most recently composed, recorded, and produced the score for a local independent film and played on a local musician's album.
While Aaron has a love and passion for music, he is also an accomplished artist, photographer, graphic designer, and web dsigner. He enjoys working with charcoals and using musical themes in compositions. Landscapes are among his favorite subjects in photography. The need for a Euphony Strings website first led him to learn web design, which he has become quite proficient at. He has gone on to create and design numerous websites for various clients. He has taken some college art courses while studying social work, but is primarily self taught in the arts.
He attended Henry Ford Community College in the Detroit area where he received an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Science degree. He then attended Wayne State University where he earned his Bachelors of Social Work degree. Aaron went on to earn his Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan.
