I'm a newbie artist who's had an on and off love affair with art since the age of nine when my class teacher first asked me to stand in front of the class and show the picture of the Taj Mahal and Qutub Minar that I had drawn as part of my History project. I did it solely as a homework assignment and did not really consider learning art until I was seventeen. That was when I joined art classes. I went thrice a week after college for a few months after which we moved cities and art was forgotten until several years later when I was 38. I had taken my first break from work and to keep myself occupied, I picked up the brush again. I found cleaning up after every painting session hard work. It was far more tedious than work had ever been and far less rewarding. So, I went back to work again. In 2018, when I moved countries I picked up art again along with writing. However, 2020 and the lockdown made me realize how important art was to me. It's helped me keep my sanity through the pandemic and deal with my dad's loss.
When I received a few requests for my paintings I decided it was time to set up a website. This led to the creation of 'Spaces.'
Welcome to Spaces - my own personal space, my Meraki. Whether you're viewing my art or looking for something specific, I hope you enjoy browsing through my artwork and find what you're looking for.
Thank you for visiting.
