International Soprano and Painter Sivan Rotem was born in Buenos Aires, raised up in Kibbutz Afikim and lives in The Heffer Valley, Israel.

She started her artistic training playing the violin for 12 years and was the first violinist of the Kibbutz Youth Orchestra. Rotem holds BA degrees in English and Literature from Haifa University and in Music from the Rubin Academy at Tel Aviv University. For the past 30 years she has sung on major opera and concert stages in five continents and has collaborated with Maestro Zubin Mehta and The Israel Philharmonic, as well as many prestigious Symphony Orchestras and conductors around the world.

Sivan Rotem started painting in 2008. She studied with Ruth Norman and Doron Dahan. Rotem participated in the weekly Master Classes of Painters Aram Gershuni and David Nipo at the realistic School "Hatachana Studio" for 4 years. She continued her studies with Painters Adam Cohn and Ilya Gefter for the last 3 years.

Her Oil Paintings and Pastel Drawings are in a realistic- impressionistic style. The landscapes she paints are inspired by her musical travels in Israel and around the world as an Ambassador of good will, in order to promote the cultural relationships between Israel and Foreign Countries.

"Sivan Rotem paints the landscapes in a vast variety of colors, which creates passion and excitement. She adds a natural light to the paintings in unique shades that transcend the landscapes in a dreamlike mythical mosaic" (Curator Doron Pollack).
