I was born in Monaco and raised in a small village, Eze, on the French Riviera. After obtaining my MD in Belgium, I worked in the US, and earned a PhD in Physiology. In addition to caring for patients, I was a teacher and a research scientist in Belgium, the US, and the Republic of Congo. When living in California, Cathe Grawin, an artist and teacher in Solana Beach, inspired me to begin painting. I always keep in mind Cathe's favorite and liberating quotes "Not every piece is a masterpiece", and "Thank God for the gesso". I now stroll on the paths of light and color, meeting thousands of artists along the way. It is a peaceful journey.
