Denver native artist, Sandpaper Sweet’s colorful grunge artwork explores the beauty in unsettling subjects. As a self taught painter and illustrator, her artwork is as much a commentary on the world as it is a documentation of her self-therapy. Before graduating high school, she had established herself in her local art community in a gallery on the Santa Fe Art District, and continues to create works that embrace the beauty of the unwanted and macabre.
"My art is about honesty, and contradiction, about the good in the bad and the bad in the good. I like bright colors and dark meanings, and anything that highlights the dichotomy of the human experience."- SS
