I’m a Capetonian chick who grew up in Cape Town and spent her childhood in the dance studio. After ending my pursuit of a career as a dancer, I picked up a camera in 2009 and being mostly self-taught, I’ve managed to turn my love for the performance arts into a photographic freelance business. Now at 32 years of age, I’ve been balancing a full-time job with my photographic passion for 10 years, working at an advertising agency as a copywriter, traffic manager, social media manager, in-house photographer, and proofreader. In my freelance career, I’ve spent my days working with dancers from around Cape Town, as well as for companies like Garage Dance Ensemble, Cape Ballet Centre, and more recently, Jazzart Dance Theatre. I’ve also photographed portraits for companies such as 34° Agency and Jack Hammer, and have experience in candid photography, as well as videography.
