Robyn Barber Fine Art

Robyn Barber was born in Maryville, Tennessee. She moved to Nashville after graduating from college with a degree in Mathematics, Computer Science and Accounting. She spent the next 31 years as a computer programmer until taking an early retirement on December 31, 2016. She attended her first painting class on January 5, 2017.
Much of Robyn's work has been done in acrylic paint on canvas in an impressionist style. She prefers outdoor subjects that are inspired by Sunday afternoon drives through the country. She has recently been experimenting with mixed media and watercolors.
Influenced by her love of the beauty that is found throughout the many rural areas of her home state, she recently completed two painting projects. The first, created in 2017, features rural Tennessee churches. The second featuring Tennessee barns was completed in 2018.
Her work has been featured in several exhibits in Middle Tennessee.
Robyn teaches pop-up art classes called Art WithOut Lines which reaches out to students who have an appetite for creativity, but not necessarily a confidence in their drawing abilities.
She lives in Santa Fe, Tennessee with her husband in a tiny house they built themselves.
