Robert Fein Photography
www.ArtPal.com/RobertFeinI was born in a little town of Saugus, Mass surrounded by a creative family of artist. My mother a welder, designer, illustrator.... father a painter / illustrator, grandfather a trumpet player for the Paul Whiteman Orchestra of the early 20's, grandmother a Charleston singer & dancer. This creativity spread throughout us siblings of one brother and two sisters like wild fire. I was always singing, drawing, carving wood and making stone sculptures till one day in my mid 20's I discovered the film camera. My brother and I decided to quit our jobs, buy an old Volkswagen van and hit the road for a year traveling to every National Park in the USA. That camera became my paintbrush as I captured everything in sight. I realized once we got back from this journey that I had something special. Since then, the camera has always been a part of my life and through this journey I have expressed my art through Fashion, Sports, Magazine Publications, Celebrities, Nude and Advertising. I have shot it all and enjoyed ride but my passion has always been Still Life, Wildlife and Landscapes. My big problem was living in South Florida. I could not express myself in the way I dreamed so I sold everything, packed my important things and moved to Southern Utah. I now reside in Hurricane, Utah and my life is now like living in a daily post card. With my early travels with my brother across the continent, Northern Arizona, Utah and Southern Colorado were always our favorite places. My move out here was sparked with the tragic death of my brother in 2011 from cancer. That is what influenced me to start living life to the fullest and follow my dreams so I came to live in our favorite part of the country. This move has changed my life dramatically and I am now surrounded by beautiful spiritual people that did what I did and my home is surrounded by landscapes people dream of or see in calendars. I still shoot the occasional fashion, advertisements and TV productions but most of my time is spent searching this small patch of the world for that perfect unique beauty. Once I find it, I keep coming back at different times of the day and season in hopes to capture that special moment of light and texture. I shoot most of all my landscapes using a Canon EOS 5D Mark III and when using the HDR Vivid Art setting, it helps stabilize all what I see and more, slightly adding light where there is none and enhancing colors of stone, sky, water, etc. Also I have on my lens a Hoya Polarizing filter to cut out glare and UV when I need it most. My lenses are Sigma 12-24 f1.45 DG HSM, 24-70 f2.8 and 70-200 f2.8. The lens is by far is the cherry on the cake and Sigma's new line of lenses can't be beat. My tripod is a Induro Carbon Fiber Steath CLT303L with a Benro G3 Ball Head. My mono-pod is a Induro Carbon Fiber 8x CM24 with a Benro DJ80 Pivot Head. Once I shoot all my images, I will always tweak them up using either Photo Shop, Light Room or Ipiccy. Just for the haters who dislike photographers enhancing their work, it also takes an artist to learn these software's as well as artistically use them to make their work just that much better. Oh......everyone does it so jump on the band wagon guys.......you will love what it does for your images. Please enjoy browsing through my work and if you see something that puts a smile on your heart, don't be afraid to buy it. Follow your dreams people and keep on clicking.
