Rob Torres is an Arizona based artist, photographer and writer. He's a retired lawman and U.S. Air Force veteran.

Robert or "Bobbie" grew up in the mid-west city of Omaha along the Missouri river. His father worked as a railroad shop foreman and his mother abandoned a teaching career to raise seven children. Robert is the fifth child of seven.

He aspired to be a commercial artist after high school, but having no means to afford college he decided to enter the military following in the footsteps of his father.

He spent ten years in the military traveling mostly in Asia including; the Philippines, Korea, and Japan. He witnessed and took part in many events including the Aquino People Power Revolution, the eruption of Mt. Pinatubo and the first launch of the Peacekeeper missile at Vandenberg AFB.

After leaving the military, he worked for the City of Las Vegas in Nevada as a Marshal for the Municipal Court. He had many diverse duties and worked as a background investigator, training officer, internal affairs, serving warrants and as a bailiff. Although he had a long career in the military and law enforcement, he felt that it was an unfulfilling job. "I never was happy in my career and found myself frustrated and burnt out. There isn't much creative work in those fields and I felt like a weed among the grass. Leaving that job felt wonderful. I had a lot of catching up to do."

He spreads his creative time between writing, photography and digital art related projects.
