Self-taught artist, Philippe Bringel was born in 1965 in the south of Alsace. Very early on he preferred picture books to textbooks. It is obvious that there is not a very keen inclination for mathematics or geography, on the other hand his conferences will make him an unbeatable of American super heroes with the Marvel label and Franco Belgian classics.
Graphic designer, sculptor and painter, the proven fascination experienced by authors such as Sergio Toppi and Berni Wrightson, catches up with him and calls him to explore the possibilities of this art of sequential sequential narrative that is comics. Since July 2007, he has been designing and coloring a heroic-fantasy cycle, "Jed’Kan" offering a line and colors imbued with authenticity. In 2016, he explores with Blackfoot a strong black and white textured enriched with light and shadow.
Creative bulimic, always harnessed to the cycle which made known, it prepares several other titles of BD. At the same time, he continued his work as a sculptor and sometimes still accepted a few orders for graphic creations. But what seems to motivate him as much as the happiness of creation are the signature sessions which allow him to meet readers and enthusiasts of comics.

Artiste autodidacte, Philippe Bringel voit le jour en 1965 dans le sud de l’Alsace. Très tôt il préfère les livres d’images aux manuels scolaires. Il est évident qu’il n’a pas un penchant très vif pour les mathématiques ou la géographie, par contre ses lectures vont faire de lui un incollable des supers héros américains à la griffe Marvel et des classiques franco belge.
Graphiste, sculpteur et peintre, la fascination qu’il éprouve pour des auteurs tels que Sergio Toppi et Berni Wrightson, le rattrape et l’appelle à explorer les possibilités de cet art du récit séquentiel qu’est la bande dessinée. Depuis juillet 2007 il assure les dessins et la couleur d’un cycle d’héroic-fantasy, « Jed’Kan » offrant un trait et des couleurs emprunts d’authenticité. En 2016 il explore avec « Blackfoot » un noir et blanc fort et richement texturé d’ombre et de lumière.
Créatif boulimique, toujours attelé au cycle qui l’a fait connaître, il prépare plusieurs autres titres de BD. Il continue en parallèle son travail de sculpteur et accepte parfois encore quelques commandes pour des créations graphiques. Mais ce qui semble le motiver autant que le bonheur de la création, ce sont les séances de signatures qui lui permettent de rencontrer lecteurs et passionnés de BD.
