This piece is the first in my 2020 series of actors portraying gangsters.

Wagner Maniçoba de Moura plays Pablo Escobar in the popular Netflix series "Narco's".

For this series I use stretched canvas with aluminium foil, covered with a thick layer of gold acrylics to create a rich textured effect, subtle color adds to the illusion of precious metal and gemstone.

This painting is highly textured and has a wonderful way of reflecting light, the edges are painted black so that this canvas can be displayed without the need to frame it.
