Otto. A mysterious multi media artist allegedly born of shipwrecked parents in the 70’s on an island near BALI. Lived in NYC, may be residing in Mexico. Not much is know about him. Rumor is, he started a painting journey as a boy after finding a TV / VCR COMBO that included a Bob Ross VHS tape stuck inside. Since the tape could not be removed , it was his only connection to the world outside Bali. Not having brushes or paint he used sticks, mud, and dyes made from local plants and bugs to recreate the “ happy trees” Bob Ross style. On the island, painting surfaces were rare, let alone a proper canvas. There was though, something else. This island was home to millions of white cats....the perfect canvas. As these felines layed on the ground soaking up the island sun, he would win them over with treats of fresh fish and crabs he caught. So content and bloated from his fishing spoils, they would lay there and let him paint them. Using all natural pigments, no cat was harmed. The island was now teaming with these beautifully colored felines bringing joy to the locals everywhere. It was truely a Happy Island now. Years passed, painting, fishing, and rebuilding the wrecked ship. Now a teenager, Otto set sail with a new skill, wood working. Eventually making it with his parents to their homeland in America. Otto is now an artist of many mediums, hope you enjoy it.
