The Nature and Spirit of Art.
My experiences working and living in the Colorado Mountains inspired the art pieces displayed in my shop. I was born in 1962 in Santa Cruz, California. I was raised with a great appreciation – and awe -- for the natural environment, I spent most of my childhood camping and hiking along the coast of California (with joyful family summers spent at Lake Tahoe).
I went to Humboldt State University in northern California and obtained a degree in Forestry. I soon landed a job in the great and wild outdoors of Colorado. I spent the next twenty years working for the U.S. Forest Service, the National Park Service, and the Bureau of Land Management -- to ensure that people and nature, and their connected spirit, flourished in the public lands owned by every American. I spent the many years working outdoors building trails, spending my lunch time sitting on a 13,000 foot mountain, a long a beautiful Colorado stream, and camping in Utah near Moab drawing the beauty around me. I have been blessed with the opportunity to see and feel the beauty of nature.
Each piece of art I create has a story, a view of nature and it's beauty through my eyes. The wonder of art is that we all see things so differently, but we connect so closely to what inspires the creation.
Thank you for visiting.
