The State Fair of Grace. Magic, Wonder, and Enchantment for the She Shed.

A little bit of a dreamscape, or a starry-eyed wonderland, or perhaps, a little bit of a snow-globe, how ever you view them, these images of the State Fair call to mind the magic of childhood and the excitement of going to the fair. Yet, there is an evocative statement made by the symbolism here. There’s an undercurrent of something more here. In each image there’s a choice to see danger, thrills, and escapades, or going nowhere, traveling in circles, and seeing nothing new. A visionary might be seeing higher than ever before or might be swinging down to a low point. Represented here are the qualities of imagination, playfulness, and adventure but there’s also loneliness, solitude in the middle of a crowd, or feeling lost. This series is for the quixotic in all of us. What will you see?
