Sheila grew up in Shallotte, a small coastal town in North Carolina. She began drawing around 5 years old and dabbled in art until 2007, when she began painting in acrylics. Although still developing as an artist she paints a variety from wildlife to still-life but has a desire to begin painting God inspired paintings.
Sheila has a BS in History from Wingate college, now a university.
She does not have an art degree, mostly self taught, but believes the Lord has given her the ability and desires to use this ability to inspire, encourage and share the love of Jesus.
She has taken classes from local artist and is part of the Thriving Christian Artist program online and attends the Gathering of Artisans in Black Mountain NC in which she has taken a variety of classes.
She comes from a background of artists, musicians and writers, most impacted by her grandmother who was an artist, writer and storyteller and who taught Sheila to play the guitar. Her aunt was an artist and writer as well and gave lots of encouragement toward drawing, painting and writing.
Among her other creative abilities she plays guitar, sings and writes songs.
Sheila and her husband Daniel live in Summerton, South Carolina and are the owner operators of the Log Cabin Stainers for 18 years. They published a book “The 40 Day Warfare Plan of Binding and Loosing”, and more recently created “Witness Billboards” and have signs on I95 and I26 “Forgive My Sins Jesus Save My Soul” in hopes of bringing the lost to Jesus.
