Making art of one kind or another defines my life. It give me the ability to express my ideas, my reactions to the world and my internal state of being. My paintings are inspired by, and a response to, the grandness, romance, beauty and mystery of our little blue dot.

I have degrees from Hofstra University, Columbia University, and The Mount Sinai School of Medicine. I am a practicing psychiatrist and psychoanalyst in New York City. I reside in Greenwich Village, New York City, and Blairstown, New Jersey.

My paintings are in many private collections, and I am currently represented by Gallery 23 in Blairstown, New Jersey.

I often use intense colors as a metaphor for the intensity of the underlying emotion I'm trying to express, and I include words on the canvas from time to time to make a more overt statement. But with or without words, each painting attempts to say something meaningful and add to the conversation expressed by art.
