K. Bower is a friend, daughter, girlfriend, niece, and teacher. She is a strong woman, born and raised in Central Pennsylvania. K is an advocate for mental health and suicide awareness. She lives with bi-polar, depression, anxiety, and panic disorders, which were not diagnosed until her 20s and 30s, making her growing up years more than tumultuous, to say the least. She has a baccalaureate degree in early childhood education, a certification in teaching English language learners, and is currently enrolled at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania for her master's degree in instructional technology. K aspires to earn her doctorate and teach at the collegiate level, as well as design online curriculum for teaching ELLs. K is currently working on writing a fiction novel based on experiences living with mental illness in a small, rural community. She regularly paints and crafts as part of her self-care routine for her anxiety and panic disorders.
"I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy making it!" -K. Bower
